Within the Industrial Safety department, we work with a team of experts to serve a diverse clientele with a wide range of innovative products. Our work is dynamic, especially with the HV-DC submarine interconnector cable systems, which are in full development. International standards are regularly expanded or updated, or new technical recommendations are released.
As a High Voltage AC and DC Cable Systems Inspector, your task is to assess the results of type tests, pre-qualification tests, and related tests performed in high voltage laboratories of manufacturers based on international standards and client specifications. To do this well, you preferably also have knowledge of the application and installation of submarine cable systems.
You will be involved in multiple projects simultaneously for different clients worldwide, with an focus on Europe. Your time will be divided between inspections at client locations and processing inspection results into reports for our clients. Additionally, you will work closely with your direct colleagues. Ultimately, you will be responsible for several accounts concerning the continuation of projects, income, and accurately performing all related administrative tasks.
Independently attend tests in laboratories of manufacturers, spending about 70-80% of your time in these client labs;
Conduct inspections on AC and DC high voltage submarine and land- cable systems;
Evaluating the test results based on guidelines in international standards and experience;
Report test results and evaluations in reports;
Maintain project administration, cost management, and invoicing.
You come to this role equipped with extensive knowledge and expertise, and additionally you:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
Work experience in a high voltage laboratory or with a manufacturer of high voltage products;
You are a sparring partner for test engineers, project managers, engineering specialists, and management at both manufacturers and their end clients (often transmission grid operators) who frequently attend test programs;
You do not mind extensive travel. 70-80% of your work time will be abroad, sometimes even on Dutch holidays;
Irregular working hours are not an obstacle for you;
Given the international nature of our organization, a good command of the English language.
