The job

The service area Consumer Safety in Arnhem (± 50 colleagues) is testing a wide range of professional and consumer products. From smart home devices, lighting products and electrical tools; at Consumer Safety you will work for startups, multinational companies and everything in between.

 

Within Photometry we test the newest lighting technology according to international standards (such as UNECE and FMVSS108) mainly for international Automotive clients. But also photobiological safety testing for a wide range of lighting products. We perform photometric measurements such as luminous intensity and color. But also mechanical tests like: moisture, corrosion, vibration, climate and dust tests. Are you willing to work together with our team of experts and clients on products with the latest technologies?

 

Your responsibilities

After an extensive internal training you will;

  • Independently assess the performance of lighting systems according to international standards;

  • Work on several projects at the same time;

  • Report of the (preliminary) test results;

  • Have direct client contact regarding technical issues and interpretation of regulations;

  • Keep clients and project manager informed regarding the status & progress.

Your profile

  Your profile

·       Bachelor level in Psychics or Electrical Engineering or similar; Candidates at MBO+ level or with extensive experience at MBO level are also invited to apply.

·       Able to communicate in a clear and professional way with customers and colleagues.

·       Flexible, decisive and efficient work approach

·       Experience with optical measurements or photometry is an advantage;

·       Good English language skills are a must. German or Dutch language skills are an advantage;

·       You are accurate, customer orientated and can take initiative.
