Behind every successful audit, test, and certification are applications that simply need to work properly. As a Functional Application Manager, you make sure that colleagues around the world can rely on these systems.
You are the link between users, IT specialists, and developers. You investigate questions and incidents, find out what is really going on, and help develop solutions that work not only today, but also in the long term.
Support users of various business applications and act as their first point of contact;
Investigate incidents, service requests, and functional questions;
Manage user authorizations and access rights;
Identify recurring issues and analyse underlying causes;
Coordinate support requests and keep users informed throughout the process;
Translate user needs into clear requirements for developers;
Test application changes and perform regression testing;
Work closely with international colleagues, IT specialists, and development teams;
Contribute to the continuous improvement of business applications and processes.
In short: you make sure technology doesn't get in the way but instead helps people move forward.
We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, is curious, and gets energy from working with users.
Mbo+ or hbo level of working and thinking, preferably with an IT background;
You are curious about how technology works;
You enjoy solving puzzles and tackling problems;
You don't stop at the first solution, but want to understand why something went wrong;
The ability to communicate easily with both users and technical specialists;
Command of the English language;
Knowledge of the OSI model, ITIL, IT Service Management, or SQL? That's a great advantage, but not a requirement. We consider your motivation and willingness to learn at least as important.
